A water cup was built in Maya and brought into RealFlow, then animated and filled up with particles by a circle emitter with Gravity added. Initial water was settled by locking timeline while running the simulation. Resimulated water again with unlocked timeline. Mesh for particles were setup and brought back into Maya to add texture and lighting.
Water shader: Dielectric Material nested in material shader of a blinn node with lor = 1.5 and phonton coef = 100.
Lighting: a spotlight to catch photon with photonic shader added to the blinn. Photon Intensity = 2000 and Caustic photon = 100000.
Rendered with Mental Ray without the cup.
